This CESCA Community Leadership Training is being launched by the Cork Equitable and Sustainable Communities Alliance (CESCA), and will be funded by the HSE South. The aim of the training is to enhance capacity, particularly in the community and voluntary sector in Cork City, to bring about positive change in the community. In particular, it will help volunteers and staff, both new and experienced, to better understand the principles underpinning equality, social inclusion and social justice. It will also focus on practical ways to apply these in our work or volunteer roles. It will create a new space for peer support, sharing of experience, and learning from each other. The initiative is open to people involved at different levels in community and voluntary settings and other settings, whether as volunteers, committee members, or project staff. It is open to people with different experience levels, different responsibilities and different education backgrounds. The training provided through this initiative will be free of charge.
